The Lounge Kittens: Party Hard

lounge2After the huge success of their ‘Rollin’ and ‘Duality’ videos – which resulted in public seals of approval from Fred Durst and Corey Taylor respectively – and their sinister interpretation of Aerosmith’s ‘I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing’ – feisty feline favourites The Lounge Kittens have returned with their take on Andrew WK’s hit single ‘Party Hard’. From tea to rave, pool to pyjama, the accompanying video sees the ‘Kittens tackling a variety of (hard) parties.

“We wanted to release a song over the festive season but though the girls are Christmas lovers, I am not.” explains Timia (blue) Kitten.“I was adamant that I would rather eat my own eyes than sing an actual Christmas song. We instead decided to turn the focus to all the intensive partying that takes place during this time of year, and there really was only one choice of song. It’s the ultimate party anthem.” Set for release on December 22nd, ‘Party Hard’ is The Lounge Kittens’ first official single, which they hope will see them go down in Christmas history as the 2014 number 2.

“All our lives, our hard, tough lives (so very tough), it’s been our dream to get to Christmas #2. It literally means everything to us. It’s our dream.” gushes Zan (pink) Kitten “Some people ask why #2, surely you want #1? But we all know a good #2 is waaaaaaay more satisfying than any #1. We really feel that at this time of year we wanted to reach out and touch people to spread this important message. Partying is hard and if you’re going to do it, you should do it properly.”
